For the "villains" contest at: 
The Baten Kaitos series is a woefully underplayed Nintendo game series consisting of two games. (People only ever want to play Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda. ;_; )
This is Shanath and his daughter. He does bad things, but he's still a good dad.
One of the most amazing thing about the series is the crazy character designs. Their clothes are wonky but functional - it has a very unique atmosphere. Plus, the art in the game steers thoroughly clear of cliche RPG animu styles.
Oh. Also, you get older party members. That's right. You get people on your team who're over 21. It's amazing.
I won't say anything about the plot because I'm lazy, but if you're looking for a new game series to try for Nintendo, I recommend this one.

I do like the idea of going with a quieter sort of moment, the Baten Kaitos villains did usually have semi plausible lives or some depth to their motives. I really like your comment about the clothes though, I had a few people walk in while I was playing and they'd say something like "Their outfits are SO bizarre."
I played these games late and in chronological order, so I didn't get the significance when they finally revealed Savyna's name, but then I played the first one and I had this whole "Oh. OHH." thing when she showed up as a character. Followed by "Why'd her hair change color?"
