Description

My last second entry into the Disney-club character sheet series of contests.

The first two contests were for new princess and prince characters, and the last one was to design the villain.
So, here he is! The Mountain King himself. I think I'll call him Bastian.

Bastian is a sorcerer who's been turning people into trolls and goblins and the like. The reason? The story takes place during the advent of electricity, and electricity destroys magic. As the town below his mountain grows, the less and less he's able to use his powers. Being an isolated, jaded individual, Bastian begins turning everyone he can get his feathers on into his minions to stop the encroachment into his territory.
The townsfolk don't know what's going on, and after trying everything (sending diplomats, warriors and a small army) to get Bastian to stop, they try a last-ditch effort of sending a sweet townsgirl named Liesel and her fiance Hugh to change his cold heart.

Upon arrival, Hugh makes a mistake and Bastian changes him into one of his creatures. Liesel is understandably angry, but continues to be kind to the man, eventually changing his heart. But, there's an issue: Bastian can't return all the townsfolk and Hugh back to human beings unless he renounces his magic Prospero style.
In the end he does of course, and even though he's sad that the old ways are gone, he embraces the new generation of the industrial era as he attends the young couple's wedding.

Wow, he looks stunning.  I have always been fascinated by characters that have avian features, and I certainly see some in Bastian here.  If this tale were made into a movie, I would pay good money to see it.
